Join our dynamic team as an Architect where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that make a significant impact in Cape Town. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing design concepts, drafting detailed blueprints, and collaborating with engineering teams. You will manage project timelines, budgets and be the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process. A passion for sustainability and local culture will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design meetings and communicate effectively with the project team.
• Prepare and present project proposals and reports to management.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors for effective execution.
• Research and implement sustainable design solutions.
• Assist in project budgeting and resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in architectural design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit
• SketchUp

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Architect (South Africa)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of sustainable design practices: Experience in integrating sustainable methods and materials into design.
• Familiarity with local zoning laws and building codes: Understanding of regulations affecting construction and design in Cape Town.
