Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our information systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats. You will work closely with IT teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Coordinate with external security vendors and partners.
• Audit system configurations for compliance with security standards.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises.
• Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems.
• Collaborate in security architecture design for infrastructure projects.
• Advise on data privacy regulations and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
