We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our growing team in Durban. The successful candidate will work on creating high-quality web applications, ensuring scalability and functionality while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal applicants will have a solid understanding of server-side programming and database management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the backend architecture for web applications.
• Analyze and improve performance of existing applications.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile environment; participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Train and mentor junior developers in best practices and technologies.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant experience

Experience

• 3+ years in backend development with a focus on PHP and Node.js
