Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team in George. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable practices for projects related to water conservation, waste management, and energy efficiency. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all environmental regulations are adhered to and that projects are completed with a commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental monitoring programs and ensure accurate data collection.
• Advise on pollution control methods and waste minimization strategies.
• Publish findings in industry journals and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Support project managers in ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
• Contribute to the development of environmental policies within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in sustainable development is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with direct exposure to environmental projects

• Understanding of climate change assessments: Knowledge of methodologies for assessing climate impacts on projects.
