Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in clients ranging from children to adults. You will work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for your clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech and language skills using standardized tests.
• Formulate and execute therapy sessions with individual or group formats.
• Support clients with augmentative and alternative communication methods.
• Trust and communicate effectively with clients of all ages.
• Stay updated on best practices and new research in speech therapy.
• Facilitate parent and caregiver training sessions.
• Document therapy sessions thoroughly and accurately.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings for holistic client care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Master's degree in Speech Pathology is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of direct experience working with various age groups

• Child Development Knowledge

Certifications

• South African Speech-Language-Hearing Association (SASLHA) Membership
• First Aid Certification

Languages
