Job Description

Animal Care Group is looking for a compassionate Veterinary Technician to support our veterinarians and enhance the care we provide to our animal patients. You will be involved in various tasks from administering medications to helping with surgeries. If you are dedicated to animal welfare and have the skills we need, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures.
• Support the surgical team with sterilisation of instruments.
• Educate pet owners on preventative health care.
• Prepare and clean surgical areas and equipment.
• Work closely with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Science or Animal Health
• Certification from a recognised body is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Surgical Assistance

Certifications

• Animal First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
