Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

As a Mental Health Counselor at our Cape Town facility, you'll be instrumental in assessing clients' needs and providing tailored therapeutic interventions. Your role includes developing treatment plans and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional mental health care through counseling and therapy.
• Evaluate clients' mental health status and develop treatment strategies.
• Conduct regular follow-up sessions to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Guide clients through crisis situations, offering immediate support.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental wellness.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Master's degree in Mental Health or Counseling is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical settings

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Mental Health First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
