Job Description

As a First-Line Supervisor of Food Preparation and Serving Workers, you will oversee the daily operations of room service in a luxury hotel setting. Your role ensures that guests receive timely and high-quality service during their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the room service team to uphold service quality standards.
  • Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll for the room service department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set objectives for the team.
  • Create and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu changes and food presentation.
  • Respond to guest feedback and implement solutions.
  • Monitor service quality and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Higher Certificate in Food Service Management or equivalent
Experience
  • 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a supervisory role

Languages

Advantageous
