Veterinarian

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Johannesburg. You'll be entrusted with the health and wellbeing of our animal patients, providing medical care, conducting assessments, and engaging with pet owners to ensure they receive the best advice and support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging.
• Carry out surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Promote a friendly and compassionate environment for pet owners.
• Train and mentor junior veterinary staff as required.
• Assist in the development of clinic policies and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Medicine preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of veterinary practice experience

• Animal Behavioural Training
• Emergency Care

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified by the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
• Certifications in advanced life support techniques (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
