A Foundry Hand is responsible for assisting in various tasks within a foundry environment. They work closely with the foundry team to ensure efficient production and maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare molds for casting by ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Help operate machinery effectively to minimize downtime and maximize output.
Assist in the pouring of molten metal and ensure proper handling and safety.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the workplace.
Participate in training exercises on safety procedures and equipment operation.
Collaborate with team members to enhance production efficiency.
Monitor processes and adjust operations to improve quality.
Report any machinery issues immediately to the supervising technician.
Keep detailed logs of production activities and equipment status.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience operating and maintaining foundry equipment is beneficial
Experience
Experience in casting processes such as sand casting or investment casting is a plus.
