Job Description

A Foundry Hand is responsible for assisting in various tasks within a foundry environment. They work closely with the foundry team to ensure efficient production and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds for casting by ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
• Help operate machinery effectively to minimize downtime and maximize output.
• Assist in the pouring of molten metal and ensure proper handling and safety.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the workplace.
• Participate in training exercises on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance production efficiency.
• Monitor processes and adjust operations to improve quality.
• Report any machinery issues immediately to the supervising technician.
• Keep detailed logs of production activities and equipment status.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating and maintaining foundry equipment is beneficial

Experience

• Experience in casting processes such as sand casting or investment casting is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Foundry Tools
