General Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a General Engineer to join our engineering team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various engineering solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. You will collaborate with other engineers and project managers to deliver innovative solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in executing project objectives.
• Implement sustainable practices in engineering processes.
• Analyze technical data and provide insights for project optimization.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on engineering tasks.
• Mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in engineering design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role

• SolidWorks
• GIS Software

• Analytical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CAD software for electrical designs: Experience in using CAD for electrical system designs is beneficial.
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles: Understanding of QA processes for engineering projects.
