Job Description

As an Aerospace Engineer, you will design and develop military aircraft tailored to the South African Air Force's specifications. This role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research into new technologies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative design projects for military aircraft.
• Participate in cross-departmental collaboration to enhance design features.
• Ensure designs are compliant with South African Air Force regulations.
• Utilize advanced CAD software for design and simulation.
• Mentor team members on best practices in aerospace engineering.
• Manage project documentation and design records diligently.
• Facilitate design reviews and presentations to stakeholders.
• Research and apply modern manufacturing methods like additive manufacturing.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety in design processes.
• Engage in the testing of systems and modification of designs based on results.

Requirements

Education

• Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage.

Experience

• 5+ years in aircraft design, specifically in military aviation.

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
