Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Actuary to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial analyses and developing actuarial models to assess and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerospace design projects from concept to production.
• Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot design flaws.
• Interface with customers to gather feedback for enhancements.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects to create integrated aerospace solutions.
• Ensure designs are sustainable and cost-effective.
• Supervise the manufacturing process to ensure quality control.
• Evaluate and select materials for aerospace applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace design and development

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Aerospace Systems Engineering

Soft Skills

• Creative Problem Solving
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Aerospace Engineer Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in fluid dynamics: Understanding of fluid dynamics principles applied to aerospace applications.
• Project management certification: Certified in project management methodologies is a plus.
