Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient health histories and physical conditions.
• Develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide referrals to specialists when required.
• Guide junior staff and assist in training and development.
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
• Support quality assurance initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery.

Requirements

Education

• MBCHB or equivalent
• Further training in family medicine or emergency care is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of general practice experience

Technical Skills

• Emergency Medicine
• Chronic Disease Management

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Medical Examiner
• Fellowship in Family Medicine

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in mentorship or teaching: Background in mentoring medical students or junior doctors.
