Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. You will play a vital role in our patient's recovery and well-being by offering expert guidance and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients.
• Collaborate with medical teams on complex patient cases.
• Conduct patient medication therapy management reviews.
• Assist patients with insurance claims and reimbursement issues.
• Maintain organized and efficient pharmacy operations.
• Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives.
• Implement pharmacy safety and quality control measures.
• Offer advice on over-the-counter products and general health.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
