Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dedicated team in Pretoria. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, as well as a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend security tools and solutions.
• Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Regularly update security software and firmware.
• Perform security audits and assessments.
• Work with external vendors and partners to enhance security.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Additional certifications like CCSP or CompTIA Security+ are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years in network security engineering roles with a focus on defensive strategies
