Job Description

The Head of Student Affairs will be responsible for overseeing all student-related activities at our Durban campus. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker who is committed to enhancing the student experience, promoting student engagement, and ensuring effective support services are in place.

Responsibilities

  • Establish goals and objectives for the Student Affairs department aligned with the university's mission.
  • Promote awareness and utilization of student support services across the campus.
  • Enhance services focused on mental health, well-being, and personal development.
  • Engage in crisis management and resolution of student issues.
  • Facilitate communication between students and administration.
  • Build external partnerships to support student opportunities and services.
  • Monitor trends in student needs and expectations.
  • Lead staff development and training initiatives.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms for student services.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Education, Student Affairs, or related field
  • Doctorate preferred
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in higher education administration
