Environmental Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our Durban team. You will be responsible for conducting research and assessments on environmental impacts, providing solutions to mitigate negative effects, and promoting sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present environmental impact assessments to clients and stakeholders.
• Evaluate data and provide recommendations for sustainable practices.
• Coordinate fieldwork and site investigations.
• Assist in the development of educational materials about environmental issues.
• Conduct research on environmental technologies to improve practices.
• Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Participate in public meetings to discuss environmental issues.
• Generate grant proposals for environmental research projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in environmental science or related field
