Industrial Engineer (Lean Specialist)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer (Lean Specialist) to optimise our operational processes in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will implement lean methodologies, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of lean strategies across various operational functions.
• Identify and eliminate non-value-adding activities within processes.
• Consult with management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Design and implement training programs for staff on lean methodologies.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to measure improvement.
• Work with teams to develop action plans for achieving operational excellence.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to lean principles.
• Utilise Six Sigma tools to enhance process stability and efficiency.
• Report progress and present findings to senior management regularly.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Certifications in lean methodologies preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in process improvement roles, preferably in manufacturing
