Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role involves managing logistics operations, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely transportation of goods. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics scheduling and forecasting to meet customer demands.
• Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Assist in developing logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular reviews of supply chain processes seeking areas for improvement.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance and assist in decision-making.
• Train new staff on logistics policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business Administration or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination preferred

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with cost analysis and budgeting: Ability to manage logistics budget and perform cost-benefit analysis.
