We are on the lookout for an experienced Actuary to enhance our financial team in Johannesburg. This position requires a knack for analysing and interpreting data to inform decision-making processes. You will work closely with financial consultants and clients, helping assess risks and develop policies that align with business objectives. Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated financial models and provide support in decision-making.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on risk management strategies.
• Prepare and analyse actuarial reserves to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Perform periodic reviews of actuarial methodologies to enhance robustness.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior actuaries and interns.
• Conduct market research on industry standards and practices.
• Enhance data analysis processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Professional actuarial qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in an actuarial environment, preferably in insurance or finance
