Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our Port Elizabeth team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing advice and consultations to patients, and managing pharmacy operations. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and community health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Review patient medication history and perform medication reconciliations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Implement medication therapy management programs.
• Train and mentor junior pharmacy staff.
• Supervise pharmacy operations and ensure quality control.
• Maintain an organized and clean pharmacy environment.
• Support the pharmacy's financial goals through effective inventory management.
• Contribute to the pharmacy's marketing and promotional efforts.
• Participate in clinical research or studies as appropriate.

Advantageous

• Certification in Immunization: Credential for providing immunization services in the pharmacy.
• Experience with electronic health records: Familiarity with managing patient data using electronic systems.
