Join our growing team as an Insurance Underwriter in Durban. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications and determine coverage eligibility whilst working closely with clients to assess risks. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and trends to inform underwriting decisions.
• Develop relationships with brokers and agents to facilitate smooth underwriting processes.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on industry developments and competitors.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
• Assist with claims assessments and provide underwriting reports as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate studies in risk management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in the insurance industry, preferably in underwriting
