Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Pharmacist to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a solid understanding of pharmacotherapy to ensure effective medication management.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical research and clinical trials related to pharmacotherapy.
  • Provide medication safety oversight and adverse drug reaction reporting.
  • Assist in the development of patient education materials.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to improve pharmacy services.
  • Work towards achieving accreditation and quality improvement goals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior pharmacists.
  • Prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile medications.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
  • Implement strategies to reduce medication errors.
  • Participate in community outreach programs around medication safety.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • PhD in Pharmacy or related field preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical pharmacy services
