Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analyzing threats, and implementing defense measures to keep our organization's data secure.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in incident detection and response.
• Collaborate in cross-departmental projects to enhance security protocols.
• Utilize threat intelligence to strengthen defenses.
• Review and update security documentation regularly.
• Engage in continuous education to maintain cybersecurity certifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years working in a cybersecurity role

• Vulnerability Assessment Tools
• Firewalls and VPNs

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with security monitoring tools: Knowledge of tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, or similar.
• Understanding of penetration testing: Basic knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools.
