Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Specialist in Cape Town, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will work collaboratively with IT teams to develop and implement security protocols, monitor systems for vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and a passion for protecting data.

Responsibilities

• Assess and mitigate risks to information assets.
• Provide recommendations for improving security posture.
• Work with law enforcement for incident response when necessary.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity
