Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory and assist in restocking as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
  • Help with administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
