Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at Insurance Experts, you will take charge of reviewing insurance applications and determining approval or rejection based on thorough assessments of risk factors. You’ll engage with clients and agents to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the underwriting process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance risks using statistical data and risk assessments.
• Communicate effectively with clients and agents regarding underwriting decisions.
• Write and revise policy documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.
• Monitor industry developments and adjust underwriting practices accordingly.
• Assist in developing new underwriting policies and procedures.
• Participate in meetings to discuss underwriting guidelines and changes.
• Report discrepancies or emerging financial trends to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU) are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or related field
