We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our Durbanbased team. The ideal candidate will manage diverse tax portfolios, provide tax planning strategies, and ensure compliance with current tax regulations. You will liaise with clients to enhance their understanding of tax obligations, optimizing their tax positions. Your expertise will facilitate effective tax solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for clients across various industries.
• Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and timely.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to provide informed recommendations.
• Assist clients in understanding and adhering to current tax regulations.
• Liaise with tax authorities and assist during audits.
• Conduct tax planning and develop effective tax strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax insights for financial planning.
• Train and mentor junior staff on tax practices and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification in taxation (e.g. CA(SA), SAIPA, or equivalent) is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in taxation or related field
