Nursing Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to lead our nursing team at our Pretoria facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment for our healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Evaluate and enforce nursing standards of practice.
• Coordinate nursing services with healthcare providers.
• Implement evidence-based practices in nursing procedures.
• Support and lead quality improvement projects.
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources for nursing units.
• Facilitate staff meetings and training sessions.
• Act as a liaison between nursing and administrative staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Master's degree in Nursing Administration or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role

Technical Skills

• Patient care management
• Budgeting and resource management

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills
• Conflict resolution

Certifications

• Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Certification in Quality Improvement: Experience in quality improvement initiatives within healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with patient safety protocols: Knowledge of best practices in patient safety and risk management.
