Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer in our dynamic Port Elizabeth office, you will engage in various projects, from conceptual design through to completion. You will utilize your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle engineering challenges, while collaborating closely with architects and contractors to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the development of infrastructure projects.
• Analyze survey reports and maps to plan and design projects.
• Implement strategies to mitigate environmental impacts of projects.
• Prepare documentation for project bids and proposals.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure timelines are met.
• Evaluate and select materials, suppliers, and equipment for projects.
• Research and implement innovative engineering technologies.
• Assist in post-project evaluations and lessons learned meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure projects

• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
• Certified Civil Engineer (CCE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
