Job Description

We are on the lookout for a motivated Mining Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of mining processes, from planning to execution, and will be responsible for developing effective mining strategies to enhance production while minimizing risk. Your expertise in geology and metallurgy will be key to our operational success.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mining operations and develop strategies for improvement.
• Oversee the application of new technologies in mining processes.
• Collaborate with external consultants and contractors.
• Ensure that all work is completed within budget and on time.
• Lead safety audits and training sessions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Evaluate performance metrics and adjust plans accordingly.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field
• MBA or advanced mining management degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a mining environment
