Job Description

As a Childcare Worker at Kids Corner, you'll play a crucial role in fostering the development of young children. Your responsibilities will encompass creating engaging activities, ensuring a safe environment, and nurturing children's growth through patience and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children in play and learning activities, encouraging their development.
• Monitor children’s behaviour and proactively address issues.
• Support children with special needs and behaviour management strategies.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute ideas for improving the program.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
• Assist in first aid and care for any injuries as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other childcare aides and educators.
• Conduct observations and assessments of children's development.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Qualified Childcare Practitioner or equivalent experience

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Early Childhood Development Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
