Job Description

We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for analyzing financial risks using mathematical and statistical methods, contributing to the overall strategic decision-making processes within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement robust data validation processes for accuracy and reliability.
• Support statutory reporting requirements by providing necessary actuarial services.
• Refine processes to increase efficiency in the actuarial team’s workflow.
• Mentor junior analysts and assist in their professional development.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge in actuarial science.
• Contribute to team meetings and present findings to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
• Master's degree in Actuarial Science is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a quantitative analysis role

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
