IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Technician who can manage IT systems and resolve technical issues for our Durban office. You will be instrumental in optimizing our IT operations and providing solutions that enhance user experience. Strong analytical skills and technical expertise are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and manage help desk tickets prioritized by users.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues quickly and effectively.
• Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Provide excellent customer service to all users.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT systems.
• Maintain data backups and ensure cybersecurity measures are in place.
• Collaborate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement.
• Prepare reports on IT performance metrics.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in technical support roles

Technical Skills

• Mac OS
• Software Installation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud technologies: Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
