Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to design and implement structural solutions for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret survey reports, maps, and other data to design structures.
  • Coordinate with project teams during the construction phase to resolve structural issues.
  • Prepare and present technical engineering reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction processes to identify and address potential concerns.
  • Evaluate engineering designs and propose modifications as necessary.
  • Engage in research to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Test materials and monitor construction under supervision to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Develop budgets and schedule timelines for project completion.
  • Participate in project debriefs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
Experience
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the building sector
