Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team in Cape Town. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients, collaborating closely with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the care of patients in the intensive care unit.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and modify care plans as needed.
• Implement infection control measures.
• Document patient care activities accurately.
• Work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide input on best practices for patient care.
• Maintain accurate stock levels of medical supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Diploma in Critical Care Nursing advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in an ICU setting

Technical Skills

• Ventilator Management
• Medication Administration

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Proficient
