PMO Specialist

Job Description

We're on the lookout for an experienced PMO Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. This role involves overseeing project management methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practices, and optimizing project delivery. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and governance throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of key PMO initiatives aimed at enhancing project success.
• Create and manage a centralized project documentation repository.
• Coordinate communication between stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned.
• Assist in training and mentoring project staff on best practices.
• Ensure timely escalation of project risks and issues to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• PMP certification

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a project management office role

Technical Skills

• Agile Methodologies
• Reporting Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with project portfolio management tools: Hands-on with software for portfolio management, enhancing PMO efficiency.
