PMO Specialist

Job Description

We're on the lookout for an experienced PMO Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. This role involves overseeing project management methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practices, and optimizing project delivery. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and governance throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project governance frameworks and reporting structures.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings and ensure thorough understanding of project objectives.
• Provide ongoing support to project managers in the application of project management practices.
• Monitor, track, and report on project progress and issues to senior management.
• Assist in the development and tracking of project budgets and resource plans.
• Implement project management tools and methodologies across different teams.
• Ensure alignment to organizational practices and compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• PMP certification

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a project management office role

Technical Skills

• Agile Methodologies
• Reporting Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
