Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Building Inspector to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations in Durban. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of construction principles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural, mechanical, and electrical systems in buildings.
• Evaluate compliance with zoning ordinances and building codes.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports on inspection results.
• Guide clients on best practices in building and renovation.
• Coordinate with local government officials regarding building permits.
• Address any compliance issues promptly and effectively.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Building Inspection
• Bachelor's degree in related fields is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in building compliance and inspection
