We're on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer who will be integral to our design processes in Johannesburg. Your expertise in mechanical systems will help us enhance our product offerings and improve operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the design process to create effective mechanical systems.
• Prepare cost estimates and budget proposals for mechanical designs.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure product effectiveness.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members.
• Conduct research and development projects aimed at innovation.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues in production.
• Systematically evaluate new technologies and tools for potential use.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field

Technical Skills

• 3D CAD software proficiency
• Mechanical systems analysis

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Mechanical Engineer (CME)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles: Experience in applying Lean principles to optimize workflows.
