Job Description

We are looking for an Insurance Underwriter to assess and evaluate the risks associated with policy applications. In this role, you will ensure underwriting standards are met while providing excellent service to our clients. Your keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills will be key in determining appropriate premiums and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client risk profiles and determine appropriate coverage options.
• Write and renew policies within stipulated timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose adjustments to coverage as needed.
• Monitor industry trends to adapt underwriting strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance client experience.
• Provide feedback on underwriting tools and technology used in processes.
• Keep abreast of changes in regulations affecting underwriting practices.
• Prepare reports related to underwriting metrics and performance.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior underwriters.
• Work closely with actuaries to determine risk factors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Additional training in insurance underwriting preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar underwriting role
