Job Description

As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch tax advice and compliance services, ensuring that clients meet their tax obligations effectively. The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of South African tax legislation and a proactive attitude towards client service.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed tax compliance and advisory services for assigned clients.
• Review prior year returns to identify potential issues.
• Develop relationships with clients to understand their business activities.
• Assist with tax compliance projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors on tax-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with necessary industry regulations and internal policies.
• Provide feedback to improve departmental processes and systems.
• Manage deadlines and deliverables for all client engagements.
• Prepare estimates of tax liabilities for clients.
• Assist in writing tax-related articles or materials for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
• Additional qualifications in Taxation are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tax planning or compliance
