We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining engineering, with a focus on safety and efficiency in mineral extraction processes. You will be responsible for designing mining plans, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of mining operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with environmental teams to analyze the impacts of mining.
• Create and manage project timelines and budgets for mining operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the operational teams.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices across all mining activities.
• Research new mining technologies and methods to enhance current operations.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology
• Professional registration as a Mining Engineer is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining operations and engineering roles
