Job Description

As a nurse in our Cape Town facility, you will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to providing compassionate care. You will monitor patient vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and maintain accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic care and support to patients and families.
• Conduct regular patient assessments and report any changes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Serve as a resource for patients regarding health issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursing station.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on nursing practices.
• Assist in the orientation of new nursing staff.
• Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
• Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve health goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a nursing role

Technical Skills

• Patient Care
• Medication Administration

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in emergency care: Prior experience working in an emergency department is preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification: Certification in advanced life support techniques is advantageous.
