Job Description

The Bioinformatics Research Specialist will analyze complex biological data sets and develop innovative tools and algorithms. This role combines computational analysis with biological insight to enhance our understanding of biological systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement bioinformatics analyses.
• Utilize cloud computing resources for data analysis.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project progress.
• Provide recommendations for software tools that enhance data processing.
• Ensure compliance with data management protocols.
• Lead workshops to share knowledge on bioinformatics tools and techniques.
• Assist in publication of research results in scientific journals.
• Support grant writing initiatives by providing data analysis expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics or related field
• Master's degree in Bioinformatics or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics or a related field

Technical Skills

• Advanced Data Analysis

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Data visualization skills: Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
• Experience with genomics or metabolomics data analysis: Background in analyzing genomic or metabolomic data.
