Job Description

As a Traffic Officer in Durban, you will be at the forefront of ensuring road safety and compliance with traffic laws. Your role will involve monitoring traffic patterns, enforcing regulations, and responding to incidents to promote a safe driving environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe and orderly traffic flow at busy intersections.
• Investigate traffic accidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Participate in community outreach programs related to traffic safety.
• Advise on traffic regulation changes and improvements.
• Enforce parking regulations and manage parking violations.
• Conduct routine checks of traffic signals and signage.
• Collaborate with traffic engineers to enhance road safety measures.
• Provide testimonials in court for traffic-related cases.

Requirements

Education

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
• National Diploma in Public Safety or Law Enforcement is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in traffic enforcement or law enforcement
