Security Engineer

Job Description

As a Security Engineer in our Cape Town office, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and security of our systems. This position involves developing security policies, conducting audits, and implementing security technologies. We're looking for someone with a passion for cybersecurity who can think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and oversee security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Investigate security breaches and provide a report on findings.
• Review and enhance existing security architectures and practices.
• Perform system and network security monitoring.
• Support the team in developing incident response strategies.
• Liaise with law enforcement as necessary for legal compliance.
• Promote security-focused culture within the organization.
• Consolidate security tools for better operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or a similar field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in security engineering roles
