Epidemiologist

Job Description

As a chronic disease Epidemiologist, you'll be pivotal in analysing and interpreting health data relating to chronic diseases. You will lead the development and implementation of strategies aimed at disease prevention while conducting research to enhance our understanding of chronic health issues.

Responsibilities

• Design epidemiological studies aiming at chronic disease prevention.
• Analyze health data using statistical software to inform health policies.
• Collaborate on public health initiatives targeting chronic disease management.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of existing public health programs.
• Assist in grant applications for further research funding.
• Train healthcare staff on best practices for chronic disease treatment and prevention.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations to promote health education.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Epidemiology
• PhD preferred in a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in chronic disease epidemiology

Certifications

• Certified Epidemiologist

Languages

• English: Fluent
