Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Tax Consultant to join our team in Cape Town. You will play a critical role in ensuring our clients meet their tax obligations while maximizing their tax efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax planning and compliance, and a passion for providing top-notch client service.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review tax-related documents, including submissions and correspondence with revenue authorities.
• Attend client meetings to discuss tax strategies and compliance.
• Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
• Develop written reports and presentations for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certification in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tax-related roles

Technical Skills

• Tax Regulations Knowledge
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving Skills
• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Tax Practitioner Registration with SARS

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: High-level skills in Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience in tax auditing: Experience conducting tax audits and compliance reviews.
