Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer in Johannesburg to manage various projects from conception through to completion. Applicants should have a solid understanding of structural analysis techniques and the ability to liaise with project stakeholders efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction documents and specifications.
• Participate in public meetings to present projects and gather community input.
• Assist in the bidding process and evaluate contractor proposals.
• Conduct post-construction evaluations and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Work with project managers to discuss project progress and any changes required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of structural engineering trends and practices.
• Engage in continuing education to further develop technical skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
